Network Engineer | CCNA | CCNP Enterprise
Allen Viola did not pass his CCNA on the first try. He walked out of his first Pearson VUE exam with a 792 when he needed an 825, and he will tell you that failure was one of the most useful things that ever happened to him. After two weeks of moping and three months of completely overhauling how he studied, Allen retook the exam and passed with an 875. That experience shaped not just how he studies but how he thinks about certification prep entirely. He did not stop at CCNA. The same methodical approach that finally got him across that finish line carried him all the way to his CCNP Enterprise, and he is still building from there. His writing reflects three things he genuinely cares about. The first is exam strategy: how to actually prepare for the CCNA rather than just consume material, how to use practice exams the right way, and how to develop the scenario-based thinking that Cisco's question style demands. The second is making difficult networking concepts genuinely understandable, whether that means walking through subnetting from binary basics up to mental calculation or building a glossary of the terms that trip up candidates who know the concepts but not the vocabulary. The third is connecting certification study to real-world infrastructure, including breaking down major outages in terms that CCNA candidates can learn from and carry into their careers.
