That might surprise you at first. The CCNA is a networking certification, not a security one. But ask any seasoned cybersecurity professional and most will tell you the same thing: you have to understand how a network works before you can protect it.

More than that, you’ll have context. Employers value someone who understands how things actually work in the real world over someone who has only memorized terms for the test.
